Bushcraft at Hunawé isn't about heading into the wilderness shirtless with a knife between your teeth to "dominate nature." It's almost the opposite: learning to live outdoors with respect, simplicity, and intelligence. Observe before you act, adapt to the terrain, use minimal gear but know it well

Bushcraft at Hunawé isn't about heading into the wilderness shirtless with a knife between your teeth to "dominate nature." It's almost the opposite: learning to live outdoors with respect, simplicity, and intelligence.

Observe before you act, adapt to the terrain, use minimal gear but know it well, and rediscover simple practices that make adventure more comfortable, more self-sufficient… and honestly more rewarding.

You might call it gentle survival: setting up camp, tying knots that actually hold, navigating without panic, protecting your body from cold or moisture, organizing your pack, cooking simply, understanding the resources and limits of a place.

Not to play the hero, but to gain confidence, self-reliance, and feel a little more at home outdoors.

At Hunawé, we love bushcraft because it reconnects us to the essentials: fire when permitted, shelter, water, food, community, and common sense. We learn to do better with less, to respect the environments we pass through, and to leave without a trace.
