First steps in snowshoes on the heights of Vercors
Die → Vercors Massif
Your adventure begins in Die, where your captain Édith warmly welcomes you at the station at 11:30am. After introductions, a shuttle takes you to the Vercors Highlands, the starting point of this winter expedition.
Upon arrival, everyone takes time to prepare their equipment and install gear in the pulkas. The group then shares a friendly picnic, before putting on snowshoes for a first hike through snow-covered scenery of breathtaking beauty.
Late afternoon arrives at the bivouac site. Under the kind guidance of Édith, you learn to set up your camp and settle comfortably in the snow. While the fire crackles at the center of camp, the evening comes alive around a shared dinner, in a warm and simple atmosphere. The mountain falls asleep, silence settles in: your first night in self-sufficiency, under the stars of the Vercors.

Crossing the Great Snowy Spaces of Vercors

The day begins with a invigorating breakfast, ideal for getting off to a good start. Snowshoes on your feet and pulka in tow, you continue your adventure across the vast white expanses of the Vercors. The silence of the snow, the light on the reliefs and the sensation of isolation give this walk a taste of authentic expedition.
In the afternoon, the group chooses together a new bivouac location, in harmony with the surrounding nature. Setting up camp becomes a moment of sharing and cooperation, before gathering around a comforting fire to prepare the evening meal.
The evening promises to be convivial, punctuated by exchanges and good spirits. A glass of génépi comes to close this beautiful day of effort and discoveries. Then, everyone heads to their tent, enveloped by the profound calm of the High Plateaus and the gentle light of the moon.

Heading south in the footsteps of the Resistance and New Year's Eve under the stars of Vercors

The day breaks gently over the Hauts-Plateaux. Warm and cozy in sleeping bags, you wake peacefully before breaking camp in complete respect for nature, leaving no trace. Snowshoes on your feet, you set off again to discover the snowy Vercors, heading south. The itinerary adapts to the pace and energy of the group, for a progression in complete serenity towards a historic site of the Resistance.
In the late afternoon, setting up the evening bivouac. With the experience gained, everyone becomes a true expert in camp setup. The fire takes its place at the center of the circle, spreading warmth and conviviality.
The evening takes on a festive turn: New Year's Eve dinner, joyful exchanges, night hike, lively discussions or impromptu dances around the fire… everyone celebrates in their own way this New Year under the stars of the Vercors. An unforgettable night, between nature, sharing and authenticity.

First wake-up of the year in the heart of Vercors! The group's energy is intact for this new day of adventure. After breakfast, we head towards an even wilder route, ideal for learning navigation techniques and snow progression. Accompanied by your guide, you learn to move independently in these vast preserved spaces.
Today's objective: reach a unique site nestled between plateau and cliffs, where the last bivouac of the stay will be set up. This exceptional setting offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the final moments of the expedition.
For the most motivated, an ascent towards Tourte Barreaux is proposed at the end of the day. Up there, the sunset setting the ridges ablaze concludes this winter immersion beautifully. A suspended moment, filled with silence and gratitude before nature.

Last moments on the Vercors cliffs and return to Die
Vercors Massif → Die
Last awakening in the heart of Vercors. We savor a final morning in the comfort of the bivouac, around a breakfast facing the wild landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see. For a moment, everyone enjoys the tranquility and beauty of these vast snowy spaces.
The day continues along the cliffs bordering the plateau, offering a succession of spectacular panoramas over the surrounding valleys. This peaceful walk gently marks the end of the adventure, between shared emotions and memories.
In the mid-afternoon, it's time to pack up the equipment and head back to Die train station, for a departure scheduled at 4 pm. With a light heart and a peaceful mind, everyone leaves enriched by this Nordic immersion at the rhythm of Vercors.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.

Bivouac: At the camp, a "mess" tent will serve as a lounge and adventurer's kitchen, a true place of life and conviviality. For the night, each person will have a two-person bivouac tent, offering comfort and simplicity.
The most motivated may attempt a unique experience: sleeping in a snow hole or igloo, to fully experience the trapper spirit. And in case of fatigue or bad weather, several cabins open to the public allow you to take shelter.
This stay takes place in self-sufficiency, without showers or toilets — a total immersion in nature, where one rediscovers the essentials.
