Day-by-day itinerary

First steps in the Jura vineyards and setting up at the castle
Meet at 10:45am at Dole train station. You'll join the group and take a short minibus transfer to the Revermont of the Jura, in the heart of these Jurassian "canyons". This micro-adventure aims to introduce you to the Jura vineyards, enhanced by beautiful autumn colors.
You'll start your hike in the vineyards located near your accommodation. On the agenda for this first day: walking between the rows of vines, wine cellar visit and tasting of Jura wines. An ancient vineyard dating back to classical antiquity, the Jura stands out for the diversity of its appellations: Arbois, Côtes du Jura, Macvin, Crémant, vin de Paille… names that all testify to the character and typicity of these wines. As you walk, you'll take advantage of the autumn atmosphere to explore the Jura vineyard on foot and understand its special features. Your Captain Rémi shares his knowledge about the region, its landscapes and its grape varieties.
In the early evening, you'll return to your accommodation: an 18th century outbuilding completely renovated, located in the courtyard of a château. You'll finish the day with a delicious local meal inspired by the Jura mountains, featuring chicken with morels and yellow wine.
Activity: 10km / 3h30 hiking / 250m elevation gain

Hiking to Château-Chalon, an emblematic wine-producing village in the Jura
After a good breakfast, you set off for a day of hiking towards Château-Chalon, a premier location for the great wines of Jura and birthplace of Château-Chalon AOP yellow wine.
This village, classified among the most beautiful in France, is built around one of the oldest strongholds of Franche-Comté. Throughout the day, you traverse landscapes characteristic of Jura, between recesses, vineyards and viewpoints overlooking the valley.
Back at your accommodation, you enjoy the view of the gardens and the last light of day over a Jura aperitif. For dinner, you taste a Jura fondue, accompanied by Jura wines, in a friendly atmosphere.
Activity: 15km / 5 hours of hiking / 600m of elevation gain

Walk around Baume-les-Messieurs and end of stay in the Jura
Château-Chalon → Baume-les-Messieurs
You wake up gently for your last morning in the Jura, then quietly leave your accommodation. After a short transfer, you join Baume-les-Messieurs, a village nestled in the heart of an emblematic reculée of the region.
On site, you discover a landscape marked by limestone cliffs, steep valleys and tufa waterfalls. This site is ideal for better understanding the formation of Jura reculées, the effects of erosion and the interaction between limestone and water, while enjoying an accessible walk.
At the end of the day, you take the road towards the Dole train station, with a transfer planned for an arrival around 5 p.m., giving you time to conclude this hiking and tasting weekend in the heart of the Jura vineyards.
