Nature adventures tailored to you, in France and across Europe.
Hunawé was born a bit like that. Not around a business plan printed in twelve copies, but along mountain trails, at bivouac camps, on train departures, during evenings in mountain shelters and weekends outdoors that leave memories long after the hiking boots are put away. At its origin, a group of Captains from the Chilowé Club: women and men who guided, lit fires, told the stories of territories, provided reassurance in the rain and witnessed the birth of quite a few friendships between two switchbacks.
With them, a conviction: a powerful adventure doesn't depend on the number of kilometers traveled, the height of the summit, or the stamp on your passport. It depends on how you inhabit a place, what you take time to observe, what you're willing to slow down for. You don't need to travel to the other side of the world to experience something meaningful.
Hunawé is a collective of women and men who live outdoors, work outdoors, guide outdoors. Companions, guides, naturalists, passionate about mountains, forests, coastlines, rivers, snow and bivouacking. Different profiles, different territories — but one common thread: doing things with heart, rigor and coherence, never taking themselves too seriously.
We champion a vision of nature travel that is more mindful, sensitive and deeply rooted: small groups, committed guides, carefully selected territories, sustainable mobility and low-carbon adventures. Nearby departures that truly transport you, weekends where you slow down, treks that leave room for weather and group pace, bivouacs that reconnect you with what matters.
Hunawé tells the story of a bond between people, nature, and the path. Stepping outside isn't just about changing scenery—it's about changing pace, bringing more presence into your days, rediscovering the taste for simple things—walking, watching, listening, sharing, wondering. The rest of the story unfolds outdoors.
— l'équipe locale,

Small-group micro-adventures, designed and guided by those who truly know the ground.
Hunawé is not an agency: it's a collective of local guides — our Captains — who live outdoors year-round and lead every adventure themselves, from scouting to the final night under the stars.
Our departures take place in small groups, on set dates. You may not know each other at the start, but two days later you've shared far more than just an itinerary: meeting fellow travelers is part of the adventure.
Small groups, soft mobility, low-carbon, environmental respect: we prioritize territories with mindful travel and a "leave no trace" spirit.
Passionate experts in France on the ground to guide you every step of the way.
